Many a moon has past
since you walked with me last
another gardener has tended my heart
while you and I have grown apart
planting his virile seed in my fertile ground
while you were not around
to care for me
tenderly
 
He came to me as in a dream
traveling on a silver moonbeam
with enthusiasm and zeal
helping my wounds to heal
filling my emptiness with his voice
I simply had no other choice
but to love him as I do
the way I once worshipped you
 
Lingering here all alone
wishing I could touch your tone
brown skin once again
he moved in
overcoming my personal space
insinuating his beautiful face
where yours had been for so long
feeding my starving spirit with his song
saturating all my free time
inspiring me to write and rhyme
as you once had
when you discovered me
sad
and lonely
and I adored you only
 
Oh, what can I say?
his smile arose like a sun-filled day
surrounding me
when he came down to me
nurturing me with his soulful kiss
transforming my anguish into bliss
holding me close and tight
throughout my darkest night
making me forget my crimson pain
driving away the dark clouds and rain
I suffered through when your essence
withdrew from my presence
and I became turquoise blue
with the loss of you
 
You had loved me sweetly
deeply and completely
while he came upon me like a raging fire
consuming me with passion and wild desire
turning my freshly-tended emotion
from heavy sorrow to intense devotion
gently, yet with clear intent
he presented himself, so innocent
vibrantly expressing his quiet power
causing my soul force to flower
 
Full of promise and vitality
he shared his bounty generously
connecting at our very core
he gave me more than I hoped for
 
A valiant steed
he galloped with speed
across my untilled land
grasping my open hand
steering me into his heart
until he too had to depart
abandoning this flourishing soil
beneath the jasmine tree where I toil
to contemplate and wonder
what shall I do without you
sons of thunder

~Another lonely night has passed me by

 bringing sadness and tears to my eyes~

~I’m in need of the one girl from my past

so many years gone since I’ve seen her last~

~My loneliness my pain has taken it’s toll

so foolish I was to leave her I know~

~My heart has been broken so many years

happiness nonexistent causing many tears~

~I’ve been but half a man without her in my life

so much anguish pain and strife~

~She was everything I ever wanted and I left

my ignorance gifted my heart and soul with bereft~

~A chance to correct the past to right a wrong

oh how I’ve waited and suffered for so long~

~My life lost it’s purpose when I left long ago

but has returned to me and I cannot let go~

~She is the one my soul mate the love of my life

without her’s like being stuck in my heart with a knife~

~My heart hurts can only be healed with her love 

she’s all on my mind I can think of~

~I’d do anything for her I’d give her the world

to have her back in my life to be my girl~

~When I reminisce I often do of long ago

I think of that sweet night back in San Francisco~

~It was the only time in my life I was really happy

she was so beautiful soft spoken and chose me~

~She was my Goddess my Athena from Olympus

to this day she is the only one I want to be with~

~I’ve tried but my heart has never seen it through

to turn back the hands of time anything I would do~

~To stay say I love you and make a life

God why did I never make her my wife~

~The price I paid is a terrible price to pay

I lost my heart my soul happiness in every way~

~I love her and I always will ‘til the day I die

more than the sun the moon and stars in the sky~

~As I lay down to sleep this night to be

I will pray to God please bring her back to me~

~Then I will visit her where she now resides

deep within my mind my dreams inside~

~I’ll take her in my arms and hold on tight

make sweet love to her throughout the night~

~Now I must go my ticket to Heaven awaits

A Table For Two

~I have a hunger from within my loin

a desired appetite for us to join~

~To take your all in that of passion

throughout the night to satisfaction~

~Deep down my soul is burning of fire

for you my love not but desire~ 

~To know of that your sententious lips

taste the sweetness within your kiss~

~To touch and caress you keeping you wet

making ready a meal you’ll not regret~

~To taste of the juices running amok

not wasting a drop in lapping them up~

~To enter what is your tunnel of love

and know the wonders deep within of~

~Make what is love all through the night

fulfilling our hunger in total delight~

~Reservations are set the table awaits

tonight we’ll feast on Lover’s parfait~

~Recipied from that in Heaven above

the mixing of fluids from making of love~ 

~Wondrous the dish guaranteed satisfaction

topping it off in climaxation~

~Beautiful is she the one called Tyna

graceful as that of the Ballerina~

~Her hair black long dwelling in luster

a smile to melt man’s heart as if it was butter~

~Angelically born she lacks only her wings 

with the voice of an Angel whenever she sings~

~Soft is her skin layered in chocolate brown

her body being perfectly shaped all around~

~Heaven’s wonders molded by God’s loving hand 

she’s the Dream come true of all mortal man~

~The essence of beauty definition of love

what more on earth can a man want of~

~But her heart’s only for one how lucky is he

for Heaven on earth is his new home to be~

~His life fulfilled having been given her heart

forever and a day ‘til death do they part~

~I’ll be waiting in the wind for I love her too

God help him if ever he makes her blue~

~For her happiness is my only concern

deep within my soul the love will always burn~

~Thinking of her gives me but love in my heart

sadness overwhelms me knowing we’ll be apart~

~Dear God watch over and keep her safe for me

let only love happiness and joy in her life to be~

Maybe It's True What They Say About Destiny

~Finally I can see an end to my misery

the love of my life may come back to me~

~Just the thought of her back in my life

brings to me joy and happiness inside~

~Reminiscent of our times in the past

hoping to repeat them in ever last~

~The girl of my dreams the desire of my heart

never again to be apart~

~Maybe true what they say about destiny

she’ll find you no matter the place may be~

~I’ve been struck in the heart with Cupid’s arrow

like a hawk from the sky swooping down on a sparrow~

~She’s captured me and owns my soul

my only wish is to love her and love her so~

~I never lost what I had for this girl

she’s the only one for me in this world~

From Bad To Good

~My life’s so much better

since we’ve been together~

~You’ve taken me from bad to good

and made me feel as a man should~

~Before you I had no life

my world was not but that of strife~

~My heart was cold ‘twas full of hate

to socialize I’d hesitate~

~So many times I’d been cheated on

taken advantage of by everyone~

~My life was full of loneliness

and buried deep within abyss~

~I prayed to God my life to end

instead an Angel he did send~

~You entered my heart ended the hate

we fell in love you became my mate~

~You filled my life with happiness

and took away the loneliness ~

~You restored my soul and gave me hope

suddenly my life was in poetic strophe~

~ I sang aloud my love for you

sometimes acting as a fool~

~Never I dreamed my life could be

enlightened by a woman in love with me~

~God shed is Grace on me with you

and saved my life from the Devil’s due~

~Surely was I headed to Hell one day

for all my sins and my ways~

~Reversed it was when you entered my life

Just A Thought

 

~My life is in a whirlwind

I sometimes feel it’s coming to end~

~For me they say there’s love

it’s only themselves their thinking of~

~Never do I hear can I do for you

only for me can you do~

~Never they come to visit me

unless there’s something they need~

~I’ve come to that point in my life

I can no longer take the strife~

~It hurts from within my heart

and it’s tearing it apart~

I love them more than they’ll ever know

but for this I’m just too damned old~

~Why must I live the way I do

why must it be without you~

~It causes me so much sorrow

to where I can see no tomorrow~

~My heart bleeds and and takes on pain

and my mind is slowly going insane~

~The fire deep within in my soul

once warm has died and grown cold~

~My purpose in life has reason no more

it was lost when you walked out that door~

~Now I sit in wander each and every day 

not knowing why you chose to go astray~

~My life once happy has fallen to past

and left me in sadness and aghast~

~Please tell me help me to understand

why you left me for another man~

~I loved you with all I had to give

you were my only reason to live~

~You took from me my heart’s destiny

and turned it into utter hurt and misery~

~Now I pray my life to come to end

this pain no longer can I attend~

~For you I say you're set free

~My God in Heaven hear my prayer

my life has fallen to despair~

~My day’s leave me but in distress

help me to end this loneliness~

~Give me someone to have and hold

to be together and grow old~

~No longer can I be alone

my heart’s not made of what is stone~

~Forsaken so long by love I’ve been

and longed for the touch of a woman again~

~Emptiness has devoured my soul

no longer I feel as I am whole~

~My nights are long I cannot sleep

sometimes I find myself in weep~

~I fear my God my life will end

if soon a love you do not send~

~My God my God I ask of thee

my God please end this agony~

making my life complete in every way~

~You’ve taken away my loneliness 

and freed me from my abyss~

~The perfection of what love should be

you fulfill my life’s destiny~

~Before you my heart was sealed in emptiness

and my soul dwelled in darkness~

~You took me from darkness into the light

and delivered me from blindness and gave me sight~

~Often life’s end was on my mind

my purpose in life I couldn’t find~

~I felt lonely I felt fear

silently I cried many a tear~

~No longer my future do I not see

for you and I were meant to be~

get up at dawn and watch the sun rise~
