I'm So Lonely

I’m such a lonely guy,

so lonely I could die!

My girl’ so far away,

like she’s been many of days!

I long for her soft and gentle touch,

so very much!

I want to run my fingers through her black hair,

the thought of waiting I can’t hardly bare!

I want to feel her body next to mine,

forever until the end of time!

I love her with all my heart,

and can’t stand to be apart!

I look at her pictures nightly before I sleep,

through my mind her images sweep!

I think of how it would be,

if she was laying next to me!

We’d make sweet love her and I,

all through that Heavenly night!

The night would never end,

because time itself would seem to bend!

I need and love my girl,

more than everything in this world!

On The Battlefield

              

~Here I am on the Battlefield
not knowing what the day will yield~
~I'm thinking of home and my girl
another shell so do they hurl~
~I run for cover and drop in sand
shrapnel hits the nearest man~
~The fight has begun again
I never know when it will end~
~My life in danger all the time
never peace can I find~
~Nightfall will soon be here
with the dark comes greater fear~
~We can’t sleep at night
there are so many Firefights~
~I’ve seen many of my Brothers die
sometime I just want to hide and cry~
~I have a Body count of five today
the enemy held us at bay~
~Tonight to God I pray
that I’ll live another day~
~I pray the war will come to an end
and I'll see my home again~
~I pray that those who fought and died
will be with God at his side~
~In Heaven where they so belong
they never wavered staying strong~
~I'll try to get some sleep for now~
if my fears will so allow~

If I Had One Wish

If I had one wish that could be,

it would be to meet Marie!

She’s pretty-witty and has originality!

I love the way she walks,

and I love the way she talks!

Her eyes are like a dream,

heavenly to me they seem!

And when she smiles at me,

it’s from an Angel I see!

She’s the most beautiful girl-

in all of this or any world!

I’d love to take her out on the town,

and have on my arm the prettiest girl around!

She has the look of a Goddess,

and my desires she does possess!

Her simple demand,

would be my joyful command!

It would be pleasurable to me,

just to have her wink at me!

Sometimes I see her in my dreams:

“She’s wearing tight blue jeans,

and walking with such grace,

I can’t help but to watch and gaze!

I don’t dare to blink,

‘cause I don’t want to miss her wink!”

I’d love to be able to dance with her,

she’d teach me how to move for sure! 

Just to have her kiss me on the cheek,

would make me at the knees weak!

I’m crazy for this gal named Marie,

to have her any man would be Lucky!

If I had one wish that could be,

It would be to meet Marie!

I Will Marry Her

I’m so very cold laying here alone,
my Girl friend has gone home!
I don’t like to sleep without her,
I already miss her for sure!
When she’s laying beside me,
I think of how marriage would be!
I love her with all my heart,
I have from the very start!
I want nothing more in this world,
than to spend eternity with my girl!
She makes me happy at every turn,
and in my heart the desire does burn!
She wants to have a baby for me,
and be part of my Family Tree!
I know I need her in my life,
I'ill ask her to be my wife!
I'll get down on one knee,
where everyone can see,
and ask her to marry me!
I'll pull out the ring,
and a melody I will sing!
I want to marry her right away,
but I’ll let her pick the day!
we’ll have that baby,
and start our family!

Honey

Are you sure your name’s not “Lady Luck”,

‘cause you make me feel like a million bucks!

You make me feel brand new,

before you I never knew what to do!

You give me confidence to live again,

never so happy have I been!

I am a lucky man,

luckiest in all the land!

Since you came into my life,

I’ve done nothing but thrive!

I feel like I can do anything,

and I want to give you everything!

I’ve prospered in the act of love,

you must have been sent from Heaven above!

Don't step On My Flag

Every night before I try to sleep,

I pray to God my soul he’ll keep!

Sometimes I wonder why,

Vietnam I survived!

But then I think and see,

God was always watching over me!

But I was left with many of scars,

from that land away so far!

Like so many Veterans of that war,

I seen so many dreadful horrors!

I don’t sleep well at night,

the nightmares I have to fight!

It’s PTSD you see,

that effects me!

I seen many of my brothers die,

sometimes I sit and wonder why!

But I’m still proud to have served,

and would’ve died for her-

she's my “Country ‘tis of thee,

my sweet land of liberty”!

And even though I have nightly frets,

I have no regrets!

I pledged my Allegiance to the USA,

I loved her then and have all my days!

So don’t step on my Flag,

or it’s your body they’ll have to drag!

As I Lay Next To You

As I lay next to you at night,                                      

I can see a bright light!

It’s as bright as can be,

brighter than I’ve ever seen!

It’s the light of God’s sweet love,

and it’s coming from Heaven above!

It shines upon you in sleep,

because your soul he does keep!

He has his Angels watching over you,

because he loves you too!

Your so beautiful laying  in my bed,

I thank God it’s you he gave me to wed!

You’re the kindest and most loving of all,

and you make me feel life and stand tall!
