I Pray You Hear

~My Lord My God I Pray you hear
keep us from our every fear~

polluting our world with Satan's verse~
~Give us strength to end the war

and grant their each and every Pray~
~Bring our Leaders to understand
"We The People" are in Command~
~Stop the petty in what they play
for they have surely gone astray~
~So many died for this our Land
for our Flag for "Which It Stands"~
~Bless us Lord in every way
God Bless This Land The USA~

Do You Feel The Soldier's Plight

image
~When you lay to sleep a night
do you feel the Soldier’s plight~
~Do you pray to keep him safe
around the world in every place~
~Duty Country Honors Forged
defending all he fights the War~
~Lays down his life and proud to do
for Home and Flag and yes for you~

We Were Soldiers II

A Traitor to America

~We were Soldiers one and all
fighting for our flag~
~We saw our brothers fall by fall
go home in Body bags~
~We could hear their cries of death
fighting to the end~
~Gasping to breathe their last breath
many were my friends~
~Throughout the day into the night
unto the next of day~
~Charlie hit us hard in Fire fights
but we made him pay~
~Ten of us one hundred of them
a terrible cost of life~
~Battles lasting to never end
striking from their hives~
~Compounded by lasting rains
saturating all around~
~Causing some to go insane
but still we held our ground~
~Back home they protested us
siding with the Cong~
~Burning our flag with Discuss
saying we were wrong~
~Jane Fonda played a Traitors game
posing on their guns~
~An enemy to us America’s shame
collaborating scum~
~She supported the enemy’s every lie
with her evil slurs~
~While our soldiers fought for their lives
in defense of hers~
~Our brothers sitting in rat filled cells
one hundred yards away~
~Hotel Hanoi their private Hell
suffering every day~
~Fifty eight thousand two hundred plus
gave their precious lives~
~Believing in what we thought was just
protecting freedoms right~
~No heroes welcome or job well done
when we came home~
~We were no better than horses dun
we would stand alone~
~They spit on us and called us names
Baby killers from Hell~
~Only adding to memories of pain
many we could not tell~
~For some of us the war goes on
every night we dream~
~We find ourselves back in Nam
waking in a scream~
~Relationships are not as they fail
scaring those away~
~Some find themselves locked in jails
minds gone astray~
~Caused by being hooked on dope
coping with the pain~
~Giving up loosing all their hope
and going insane~
~In the end many take their own lives
after surviving the Nam~
~Leaving behind children and wives
in pain and dwelling on~
~We were Solders one and all
fighting for our flag~
~We saw our bothers fall by fall
go home in Body bags~
~We wait our turn to join with them
to end our ever pain~
~When Azriel takes us at our end
to the Soldier’s hall of fame~

Once A Soldier Always A Soldier Will Die A Soldier

Dedicated to my Brothers at Arms

~I am a Veteran of the Vietnam war

Soldier born and bred~
~Been through battles great of horror
many friends lie dead~
~Charlie a Ghost afraid of nothing not
attacking day and night~
~From the depths of Hell the Demons fought
frighting Firefights~
~Two on two off and on again
guarding our precious ground~
~A thousand men did Charlie send
never made a sound~
~Behind and up within the trees
tunnels underground~
~Charlie came like Killer bees
swarming all around~
~One hundred times the count of ten
we fell them to the ground~
~At fighting’s end we searched for them
not a body found~
~Like that of Ghosts they disappeared
back to the depths of Hell~
~Leaving our soldiers to ponder fear
under the Demon spell~
~We searched for Charlie day and night
throughout the Hellish rain~
~Commenced another Firefight
felling many again~
~This was our tour of Hell on Earth
still haunting us today~
~The Vietnam veteran we who served
God Bless The USA~

We Were Soldiers

Let Us Not Forget
image

~Now I lay me down to sleep
as I do each night~
~I pray the Lord my soul to keep
unto the coming light~
~If I should die before I wake
within my nightmarish~
I pray the Lord my soul to take
unto his Heaviness~
~Sometimes I feel my life in ruins
my thoughts play hide in seek~
~Headed for the land of doom
all in turning bleak~
~My mood of swing be flying high
upon the tightest rope~
~So many young so many died
so many years ago~
~But for me ‘twas just last night
like every night before~
~An overwhelming Firefight
of blood in wrenching horror~
~I dream of death in never end
walking every turn~
~Remembering those of all my friends
whom never did return~
~Of those I killed in self defense
they had families too~
~I pray for their remembrance
in Heaven’s rendezvous~
~When I leave this earth in death
I ask you only this~
~To bury me at Soldiers Rest
in that of reminisce~
~To pray for me of Heaven send
in that I did my best~
~I was a Soldier to the end
unto my final rest~
~”We Were Soldiers” young in old
in the midst of war~
~Of so very long ago
my nightly dream of horror~
~I dream of death in never end
walking every turn~
~Remembering those of all my friends
whom never did return~
~Of those I killed in self defense
they had families too~
~I pray for their remembrance
in Heaven’s rendezvous~

MIA Facts Site

by Joe Schlatter

Purpose of this site
This site is published to provide facts about  the issue of Americans who remain "missing in action" (MIA) from the Vietnam War.  At the conclusion of the Vietnam War,  2,583 Americans did not return.  A vast mythology has built up around what really happened to these individuals.   Misinformation, pseudo-history, and deliberate fabrication are  rampant.  As a result, myths are regularly proclaimed to be fact.  This site destroys those myths.

The Myths:

bullet Not all US POWs were released by their captors at the end of the Vietnam War.
bulletThe U.S. government knew that all POWs were not released.
bulletU.S. POWs remain in captivity today.
bulletThere is a conspiracy within the U. S. government to hide the continued imprisonment of Americans and, whenever the truth emerges, it is debunked.
bulletThe U.S. government is doing nothing to account for or recover missing men.

The Facts:

bullet All U.S. POWs captured during the Vietnam War were released, either at Operation Homecoming (spring, 1973) or earlier.
bulletThe only men captured and not released are 113 who died in captivity; their identities and the circumstances of their deaths are known; some of their remains have been recovered/returned..
bulletNo U. S. prisoners of war have been abandoned by the U. S. government.
bulletNo U.S POWs remained in captivity after the conclusion of Operation Homecoming.
bullet There is no conspiracy within the U. S. government to conceal the abandonment of prisoners of war (who were not abandoned in the first place).

bullet No U.S. POWs from Indochina were taken to the Soviet Union, China, or any other third country.
bulletThe U.S. government has been -- since well before the end of the Vietnam War -- exerting all possible efforts to recover or account for missing men.   That effort continues  today and is unprecedented in the history of warfare.

Those who promote these false claims have produced a vast array of half-truth, untruth, hearsay, unsubstantiated claims, personal attacks, and mythology.   The accumulated effect of years of nonsense has been exactly what one would expect:
The big lie has been accepted as truth in some quarters.

How many Americans are "missing" in Southeast Asia?
At the end of Operation Homecoming in the Spring of 1973, 2,646 Americans did not return from Southeast Asia -- they were "unaccounted for."  Since then,  957 have been "accounted for" by (1) recovering and identifying remains; (2) return of a small number of individuals after Operation Homecoming; (3) recovering the remains of several individuals as a group whose remains are not separately identifiable.
Currently, 1,689 Americans are "unaccounted for" in Southeast Asia:

bulletVietnam:   1,296
bulletNorth Vietnam : 476
bulletSouth Vietnam : 820
bulletLaos :  328
bulletCambodia  :  58
bulletChina (territorial waters)  :  7
These figures were last updated on :  May 30, 2011
Figures include 468 at sea or overwater losses
