Love is but a friendship caught on fire,
souls deep down burning in desire!
An understanding of each other,
wanting to be together forever!
Through the bad times and the good,
love for each other’s understood!
Allowances made for human weakness,
opens their hearts for forgiveness!
Does not matter imperfection,
for each other there’s only affection!
Never thinking of the past,
to the future they’re steadfast!
Always working towards common goals,
always comforting each other’s souls!
Never leaving each other’s side,
to each other’s wish they’ll abide!
Surprising each other with special gifts,
not being on the Christmas list!
Doing for each other just because,
that’s the meaning of real love!
