New Years Eve Alone

Here I sit on New Years Eve,

alone at my desk!

I really do believe,

this year-Ive done my best!

But still I’m alone,

no one to call my own!

Nobody to have an hold,

at 58 years old!

Another year passed,

went by awful fast!

I wish I could celebrate,

but-that’s not my fate!

All my pitiful life,

I’ve had nothing but strife!

I wish I could say it’ll be better,

I have no one with-to be together!

For me it’s just another year,

to be worse I do fear!

But to all of you,

I  really do,

wish you,

a very Happy New Year!
